Roma continue their preparations for the new Serie A campaign and a long-awaited return to the Champions League. Their next friendly takes them to Cardiff, where the local side views the visit of the Giallorossi as a major event. The last time the Welsh club faced a Serie A opponent was 13 years ago – a 1-0 victory over Chievo.

Cardiff City’s Pre-Season Form and Squad

Thanks to the solid work of Brian Barry-Murphy, Cardiff needed only one season to bounce back to the Championship – they finished second in League One in 2025/26. With the new League Cup campaign starting next week, the Bluebirds came out of their summer break much earlier than their upcoming opponents.
